ALS through first responders, BVM ventilation has never been more consistent and effective. Your staff may not be consistently providing bag valve mask ventilations to American Heart Association standards. Studies have shown that a problem with many rescuers is that they squeeze the bag too often, ventilating at too high a BPM rate. Improper ventilation can put your patients at risk for decreased coronary perfusion due to increased pressures in the chest. In addition, they may experience gastric insufflation leading to the aspiration of stomach contents and related complications.
Product Features: • The ResusciTIMER is designed to be used with any BVM by connecting the pressure tubing from the ResusciTIMER to the manometer port of the bag mask. • If no manometer port exists, a single patient use adapter comes standard with each ResusciTIMER • CPR or Rescue Breathing mode, two patient modes; adult and child • In Rescue Breathing mode, ResusciTIMER will visually and audibly guide you to provide breaths per AHA guidelines • In CPR mode, you will be guided to give 2 breaths in 4 seconds between the chest compressions per AHA guidelines |
